Rejected!

So they've gotten smart. They've blocked access to Blogger at work. A black screen pops up whenever you type in a .blogspot.com address that makes you feel like you've just been busted for something illegal. I never wrote a post at work, but now I can't read them either. I'll have to find a new distraction. Although, I found that some blog sites still work, so maybe I'll just explore the alternative blog universe.

What are they trying to accomplish? Blogs aren't inappropriate by definition. And there will always be plenty of sites to kill time at work. But I guess it's a much easier solution than looking at the quality of management.

Comments:
That totally sucks, lulei demistafina, for you!

Hope you have time away from work to check your blog and email. I know I sure don't!

Do you work at a large financial firm that starts with a W and ends with an A with six letters in between?

somehow sucks and lulei demistafina don't seem like they belong in the same sentence

Not sure what other anon is referring to but I thought Josh worked at Kraft, which doesn't really fit any of your criteria. Unless if it was some veiled joke that I missed.
In any case, do any of you actually know what "lulei demistafina" means? You all seem to be liberally misusing and abusing it.

anon-
the company i believe he was referring to is wachovia

re lulei d - cloojew defines it several times on his website - you can check it out there.
it's a talmudic term that translates to if i were not scared and i guess is used more like in my humble opinion, as a preface to a statement

I'll admit I was thrown off guard by CJs juxtaposition of terms at first. Then I realized that he was referring to the vacuum of boredom that I now have at work, hence the "suck."

This does severely cut into my blog time. I used to read the blogs at work, so when I came home I just checked my email and did my posting and commenting. Now when I get home, if I have time, I can read the blogs. But now, I'll have to do a lot more choosing between reading and writing.

In response to the two anons, point goes to anon number 2. A link to Kraft is located just under my profile picture.

For everybody's suggestions, I should probably note that my work email gets filtered through the company, so I try and keep the personal email to a minimum. And yes, they block all webmail.

I am aware of what "lulei demistafina" means and am glad that others seem to know what it means too. But seeing as I now know that you know, at least use it properly!

[With regards to its origins I can't say that I remember seeing it in the Gemara but I am positive that Ritva on Shabbos 103a, after quoting his Rabbonim, says "lulei demistafina" I would give the following explanation of "yipui karka", i.e., were he not afraid of the Torah giants that preceded him (especially Ramban) he would give the following explanation.]

The 9th as in next Sunday? Nope, nothing I can think of. Why, you want to join me and O for a day-long romp of Chicago-land?
